LOUIS KOFFLER Sr
Louis John Koffler Sr., 94, Ogema, died in the Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford on Thursday, July 31, 2014. He was born in Illinois on September 22, 1919, the son of Frank and Frances Koffler. He served his country in the U.S. military during WWII. He was married to Laura Boushon in Chili, Wisconsin, on June 4, 1955, They lived in Oxford, Wi, Tomahawk, and then moved to Ogema in 1976. He operated L and J Sales and Service small engine repair in Tomahawk, and was employed by Abbotsford Auto in Abbotsford. He attended the First Lutheran Church in Ogema. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, watching wildlife, playing cards, and visiting with his friends..
He is survived by three children, John (Sharon), Rhinelander, WI, Louis Jr. (Donna), Colby, WI, and JoAnn (Dennis) Vail, AZ; by 8 grandchildren, and by 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, on January 1, 2014; by one brother, Frank; and by two sisters, Estelle Warchel and Jean.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 12, at the First Lutheran Church on Ogema with Pastor Robert Giese officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Westboro. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
