Louise Gillett

Louise Gillett, 91, of Kennan, WI, passed away on January 18, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Minocqua, WI. Louise was born on July 2, 1930, to Ted and Augusta (Budde) Erdmann, in Kennan. She had one sister, Elsie. Louise married Oren Gillett on June 26, 1948. They had eight children together.
Louise loved being with family, reading, jigsaw puzzles, embroidery work, polka dancing, going to the casino with her friends, and for a time, she was a substitute for the senior dining program.
She is survived by six children, Ted Gillett of Kennan, WI, Ron Gillett of Green Bay, WI, Beverly (Greg) Olsen of Hawkins, WI, Gary (Barb) Gillett of Aniwa, WI, Allen Gillett of Ogema, WI, Bruce Gillett of Medford, WI; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Oren; infant daughter, Sharon; daughter, Marilyn Snider; son-in-law, Robert Snider; and daughter-in-law, Ho Gillett.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, W10363 Main St, Kennan, WI 54537, with Pastor John Trewyn officiating. Visitation will be held at 10a.m. and continue until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Kennan Cemetery, Kennan, WI.
