Louise H Grubbs, 90, a lifelong Brantwood area resident passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Rib Lake Health Services.
Louise was born October 21, 1931 in Brantwood to Fred and Alice (Collette) Marheine. She was married to Howard Grubbs on January 3, 1952 in Springbrook, Wisconsin, he passed away in 1999. Louise was a school teacher in the Springbrook area and later had been a substitute teacher in the Prentice and Tripoli school districts. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gardening. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.
Surviving Louise are her children, George (Tonee) Grubbs, Brantwood; Cathy Grubbs, Brantwood; and Edna Kalmon, Ohio. She is also survived by her siblings, Paul (June) Marheine, Richard (Betty) Marheine, and Jerry (Lorna) Marheine, and eighteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard, Son, Vance, and three brothers.
The Funeral Service for Louise Grubbs will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Stephen Gillet will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery.
