LUCILLE HARTMANN
Lucille Ann Hartmann, 69, Phillips, Town of elk, died in the Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls on Monday, August 3, 2015. She was born in West Bend, Wisconsin, on May 30, 1946, the daughter of Roman and Evelyn (Krejci) Schneider. She was a 1966 graduate of the Kewaskum High School in Kewaskum, WI. She was married to Ira Hartmann on November 11, 1967, in the Holy Angles Catholic Church in West Bend, WI. They operated a dairy farm in Fredonia, WI, and in 1996 moved to the Phillips Area where they owned and operated the Whispering Pines Resort, and later also the Skyline Motel in Phillips. They retired in 2013. She was active as a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul in Phillips, and was a member of Phillips Chaparrals Snowmobile Club. In her free time she enjoyed baking, reading, and travel.
She is survived by her husband, Ira; by two children, Carol (Jeff) Nigh, Kewaskum, WI, and Brian, Fredonia, WI; by one granddaughter, Kaila (special friend Casey Steinman, Kewaskum, WI; by five brothers, Eugene (Karleen) Schneider, Random Lake, WI, Gerald (Diane) Schneider, Kewaskum, WI, Donald (Karen) Schneider, Adell, WI, Vincent (Lori) Schneider, West Bend, WI, and Ralph Schneider, West Bend, WI; by four sisters, Beverly (Roger) Spaeth, West Bend, WI, Kathleen Griepentrog, West Bend, WI, Susan (Donald) Fischer, Antigo, WI, and Carolyn (Bruce) Weninger, Kewaskum, WI; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 7, with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Inurnment will be in the Saint Patrick Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the church of Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
