LUCILLE HALMSTAD
Lucille Ellen Halmstad, 90, Catawba, died in the Golden Living Center in Rib Lake, WI, on Sunday, May 1, 2016. She was born on January 5, 1926, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, the daughter of Bernice and Edward Partlow. She was married to Oliver “Sonny” Halmstad in Bethany Lutheran Church in Catawba on June 13, 1944. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Catawba and of the Ladies Aid there, and was a member of the Catawba-Kennan Homemakers Club. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, bingo, knitting, and participating in activities at the Living Center.
She is survived by six children, Art (Marie), Appleton, WI, Carolyn (Rocky) Jones,, Westboro, Bruce, Albuquerque, NM, Gary (Sue), Catawba, Randy (Lauren), Merrill, WI, and Bonnie, Gresham, OR; by 14 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver, on October 27, 1992; by one daughter, Cindy Fox; and by one son, Sonny.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 5, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Catawba with Reverend Jody Becker officiating. Internemnt will be in the Catawba Cemetery in Catawba. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.
