Beloved Lucille “Lucy” Stanley, 79, of Lac du Flambeau, WI, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Chicago, IL surrounded by her family. She was born on June 20, 1933 in Hayward, WI. In 1987, Lucy moved back to Lac du Flambeau from Chicago. After she retired from the Lac du Flambeau Public Library, where she worked for many years, Lucy enjoyed doing beadwork, puzzles, and playing bingo. She also enjoyed working in her garden and yard. Lucy will be remembered for her unique sense of humor and quick wit. Lucy is survived by her children Charles (Susan) Walczak of Wisconsin Dells, WI, James Stanley, Richard Stanley (Sue), Karen Bridges (Terry), Susan Stanley (Kevin), Tiana Olaguez (Ruben), and Tracey DeLeon, all of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michele, Shannon, Alana, Morning Star, Louis, Monica, Little Ruben, Casandra, Venita, Tara, Matthew, Scarlett, Lucy, Erin, Jacob and Lauren. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren. Lucy is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Stanley, her four brothers, Larry, Vince, Tony and Jimmy Louis, her three sisters, Rose Louis, Delores Ruwe and MaryJane Diehl, and grandson, Cheskay Stanley. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 4 p.m. at the Multipurpose Building in Lac du Flambeau, WI.
