Marcia I Hall

We extend our heartfelt prayers and support to the family and friends of Marcia (Marti) Hall. Marcia I. Hall passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 84. “Marti” as she preferred to be called, had been a resident of Bell Tower since January 2019.

Marti was born on March 31, 1939, in the city of Milwaukee. Marti graduated with a degree in Nursing from Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital in 1962. She started her career at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She went on to work at a hospital in Denver and then returned to Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee. During her stay in Milwaukee, she passed her exams and became a Registered Nurse.

Marti and Jim were married in October of 1966, and spent 54 wonderful years together. Marti worked in public health in Ozaukee County, Sheboygan County and finally in Lac du Flambeau, where she worked for the Great Lakes Intertribal Council. She helped in the writing of grants and administered grants. She traveled throughout the state working with the various tribes.

Marti loved languages, and travel. She made several trips to Europe visiting family in Germany and Switzerland. The latest trip was with a childhood friend to visit Turkey.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Jennifer; son, David; brother, Fred of Knoxville, TN; 3 grandchildren and faithful dog, Buddy.

Celebration of Life for Marcia will be held on Saturday, May 18th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Nimsgern Funeral Home Fellowship Hall in Woodruff, WI

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Bell Tower Residence Assisted Living, 1500 O’Day Street, Merrill, WI 54452.
