Margaret Grossich, age 92, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk.
Marge was born April 6, 1921 in Chicago. She married John Grossich on October 25, 1945; he preceded her in death in 1985. She formerly worked at the Mars Candy Company and Motorola in Chicago. She later came to Tomahawk and owned and operated Sportsmans Tavern on Highway CC from 1967 - 1990. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, shopping, and going out to eat. She loved being a grandma, and helped to raise three of her grandchildren - Heather & Chad VanStrydonk and Linda Coey.
Survivors include: daughters, Gail (Marty) Jones, Tomahawk, Judy (David Newman) Hansen, Rhinelander, Lucy (Keith) VanStrydonk-Jaecks, Tomahawk. Margaret is further survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - John, son - Steve, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services for Marge Grossich will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Rev. Debra Hastings will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the hour of services at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
