Marie Deming

Marie C. Deming, age 89 of Weston, WI and formerly of Minocqua, WI passed away on Thursday, December 19th at Rennes Health & Rehab in Weston, WI. Marie was born on September 9, 1935, in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (nee Berdan) Kraus, Sr.

Marie married Don Deming at Sacred Heart Catholic Rectory in Marshfield, WI. They lived in Abbotsford for 30 years, raising a family. They then moved to Minocqua, owning and operating Demings’ Resort on Fence Lake for 20 plus years. Marie worked as an X-ray Tech for Lakeland Medical Center for many years and was a member of Lakeland Art League, AAUW and won many local and state awards for art.

She is survived by her 5 children: Paul Deming, Dave (Teresa) Deming, Dick Deming, Amy (Jim) Kommer, Marc (Jaclyn) Deming; grandchildren: Dominique Deming, Max Deming, Arianna Deming, Kelia (Alex Gazley) Deming, Aliza Deming, David (Kinsey) Deming, Melissa (Jeff) Alger, Amber (Jordan Roderbiker) Deming, Tyler (Leslie) Kommer, Tate (Katie) Kommer, Abby (Tim) Burgess, Cosette Trantow, Garyt (Jenna) Trantow; great grandchildren: Ella, Gordon, Harry, Lyle, Wyatt, Luca, Ava, Penelope, Henry.

Also survived by brother: Joseph Jr. (Darlene) Kraus; sister-in-law: Betty Bartz; and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband: Don; parents: Joseph and Dorothy Kraus; mother-in-law: Ella Deming; brother and sister-in-law: Richard (Dolores) Kraus; sister and brother-in-law: Jeanie (Bob) Draxler; brother-in-law: Roger Bartz; sister-in-law: Pat Kraus; daughter-in-law: Kim Deming; great grandchild: Charlie Burgess.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with a visitation from 10:00am until the time of the service.
