Marilyn Erickson Heckmann Nee: Webster Passed away March 20, 2017 at Belltower Residence in Merrill WI at age 93 where she lived since 2013. Born December 7, 1923 in Morris, IL Parents: Harold Forrest Webster, and Myrtle Benson Webster Married Myron Arnold Erickson on July 24, 1943, Myron passed on Nov 30, 1963 Married Leonard Heckmann on April 13, 1969, Leonard died on May 2, 1999. She was raised and educated in Morris, IL graduating with the Morris High School class of 1941. Marilyn was employed at the Post Office of Spring Grove, IL where she was a clerk for 8 years, then became PostMaster where she served another 12 years before retiring. She was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, and also loved to write. She wrote several books including a family history book called “Recollections and Reflections”. She enjoyed playing cards with her group of friends, and was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Antioch IL for many years. She was a charter member of the Ansel Brainerd Cook Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for 25 years. Survivors include 3 children of Marilyn and Myron Erickson: Curtis (Patricia) Erickson of Galena, IL ;Chris (Judith) Erickson of Florence AZ Sally (Gary) Schwartz of Merrill, WI. Other survivors include daughter in law Cynthia Erickson, FL, Sister in law Donna (Raymond) Carlson Morris, IL, Five grandchildren: Steven (Dena) Erickson, Gary (Jessica) Erickson, Julie (Joe) Moser, Jeffrey (Tammie) Erickson, Sarah (Casey) Benard and 8 great grandchildren. Nieces, Carol Adair, Diane Wakeman, Janice Graham, Sharon Hansen, Lori Carlson, Jennifer Zackavec; and nephews David Webster, Harold Webster, and Rick Carlson. She also had many great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, sister ElmaThompson, brothers Wayne Webster, Roger Webster, Grandson Hunter Erickson, and son Brian Erickson. A service for family and friends is being planned for her at the First Baptist Church in Morris, IL.
