Marion A. Coan

Marion A. Coan, age 82 of Manitowish Waters, WI died on Friday, November 4th at St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston, WI with her family by her side. Marion was born on August 5, 1934 in Green Lake, WI the daughter of Norman and Beulah (nee Nigh) Brown. Marion married Donald E. Coan in 1956 in Chicago, IL and moved to Manitowish Waters, WI in 1973, where they owned and operated Coan’s Rustic Manor for 21 years. Marion retired in 1994, where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was very involved with the Manitowish Waters community, where she served with the local snowmobile club and Manitowish Waters Lioness Club, where she was awarded the Lioness of the Year.
She is survived by her Children: Mary Ellen (Bob) Duranso, Don (Sandy) Coan, Margaret Humann, Mike Coan, John (Connie) Coan, Kathleen (Dennis) Lerch and Bridget Coan and by her Grandchildren: Becky Duranso, Amy Negri, Jennifer Duranso, Chad Baeseman, Paul Coan, Jessica Remme, Kayla Remme, Rennea Remme, Rebecca Coan, Kevin Coan, Kyle Coan, Chad Lerch, Casey Hathaway, Crystal Hartmann, Codie Lerch, Clint Lerch, Abigayle Coulman and Kelley Coulman and by 12 Great Grandchildren and by her 2 Brothers: Don (Penny) Brown and Kenny (Rita) Brown and by her Sister-in-law: Joan (Tom) Burke and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and by her parents, son-in-law: Werner Humann and by 5 Brothers and 3 Sisters.
Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, November 11th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 12th at 11:00 AM at Manitowish Waters Community Presbyterian Church with a gathering from 10:00 AM till time of service at the church. Inurnment will take place at Pinelawn Cemetery.
