Marion J. Holm, age 84, 148 Alder Street, Tigerton, passed away January 17, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau. Marion was born August 22, 1923 in Tigerton to Bert and Doris (nee Simpson) Alberg. She married Earl Holm in June 1947 in Tigerton; he passed away August 31, 2007. Marion graduated from Tigerton High School in 1941. She went on to Stevens Point Teachers' College, completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education at UW-Stevens Point in 1972. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers' Society and of the Retired Teachers' Association. She began her teaching career in Gresham and went on to teach in Tigerton, LaCrosse, and Brandon, returning to Tigerton where she finished her career, retiring in 1986. Marion was a former 4-H Leader, and enjoyed traveling during the summer months with her family. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Morris, where she was a long-time Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the choir and Ladies' Aid.

Marion is further survived by 3 granddaughters - Katie, Karen, and Karolyn Krueger.
Funeral Services for Marion Holm will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Morris. Rev. Jennifer Czarnota will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
