Martin D. Helgeson

Martin D. Helgeson, 42, of Phillips, passed away on January 26, 2021, surrounded by family. Martin was born on April 6, 1978, in Evanston, IL, to James and Jeannette (Croxell) Helgeson.
Martin grew up in the Kennan, WI, area and graduated from Phillips High School. He went to UW-Stout where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering. He married Lynnae Prohaska and they had two children together, Alyvia and Kayson. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Lynnae; children, Alyvia and Kayson; mother, Jeannette; brothers, Melvin (Gretchen) and Phil (Sara); nieces and nephews, Emma, Ellie, Isabella, Tessa, Ava, Cole, Sophia, and Kailee; other family and friends.
Martin is preceded in death by his father, James Helgeson; and step-father, Ronald Lockman.
A visitation will be held from 10:30a.m. to 12p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 304 N. Avon Ave, Phillips, WI, 54555. Inurnment will take place in Kennan Cemetery, Kennan, WI. Masks and social distancing is heavily encouraged.
