Marvin E. Larsen of St. Germain passed away peacefully with his children at his side at Seasons of Life Hospice Home in Woodruff on Dec. 14, 2012. He was born August 14th in 1929 in Chicago, Il. He married Jennie Lascari on October 14th 1950 the love of his entire life. Marvin was a graduate of DePaul University and received a Master’s Degree from Northern Illinois University. Marv and Jennie had seven children and moved their family to Arbor Vitae, WI in 1971 to become the Assistant Principal at Lakeland Union High School. Marvin enjoyed his wonderful years on Little Spider Lake fishing, gardening, and making sure there were “no dead trees” on his property. His greatest joy was enjoying the closeness of his 7 children and 23 grandchildren. Marv and Jennie were married for 50 years and he missed her greatly after her passing in 2001. Marv’s life was a life that was rich in faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the mid 70’s Marv discovered and treasured his deep and personal relationship with the God he so loved. Marv was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie; father Leif Larsen and mother Margaret Larsen, his brother Leif Jr, and his grandson Sammy Larsen. He is survived by his four sons John (Mary) Naples,FL; Len (Pam) St. Germain; Ken (Lori) Foster, California; Michael (Kathy) New Bern, N.C., three daughters Jaime(Mike) Korrer of Fon du Lac; Diane (Mike) Fashingbauer Minocqua, and Julie (David) Zillmer, Eagle River and by 23 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the St. Germain Evangelical Free Church on Friday Dec. 21st from 12:00 -1:30 with a memorial service to follow conducted by Pastor Josh Reese. There will be a light meal afterwards to reflect on Marv’s life and share stories. Floral arrangements may be sent directly St. Germain Evangelical Free Church.
