Mary E. Brostowitz, age 87, of 5785 Daoust Road, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on January 15, 1928 in Wisconsin Rapids to the late Alfred and Ellen (Herron) Firth. She was formerly married to Donald Brostowitz, he passed away in 1994. Mary has been the companion of over 40 years of Ken Pryne. She had lived in Wisconsin Rapids, Minocqua, Harshaw, and Tomahawk. She had been employed at Howard Young Medical Center and various Doctors' offices as an Licensed Practical Nurse. Mary enjoyed painting, hunting, fishing, especially trips to Canada. She was a self-taught musician and loved to cook.

Also left to remember her are 25 Grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gordon Firth, who was lost at sea during WWII.
Graveside services for Mary Brostowitz will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
