Mary Coey

Mary Eloise Coey, age 84, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at Golden Living- Riverview Rehab and Care Center in Tomahawk. Eloise was born on February 17, 1928 in Charleston, West Virginia to Laffie "Pops" and Irene Arbaugh. She was married to Harry Engle in West Virginia from 1946 until 1963. She married Leonard R. Coey in 1965 here in Wisconsin, he passed away in 1985. Eloise had been employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant first at the Riverview Hospital, later Riverview Nursing Home, then at Golden Age Nursing Home, Sacred Heart Hospital, and lastly at Cumberland Heights Care Center in Tomahawk. She also had worked for Lincoln County doing home care for the elderly and had managed various taverns in the Tomahawk area. She devoted her life to caring for others. Survivors include: Son, Ken Engle Tomahawk 2 Granddaughters, Shawn (Paul) Cook Washington, D.C. Shannon Engle Tomahawk Half-Sister Patricia Pierce of Indiana She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one Brother. Funeral Services for Eloise Coey will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the town of Nokomis. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Monday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning from 10 am until the time of services at 11.
