MARY OSTLING
Mary E. Ostling, 88, Prentice, died in the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice on Friday, July 26, 2019. She was born Mary Sander in the town of Hill, Ogema, on October 10, 1930, the daughter of Sven and Anna (Pearson) Sander. She attended the Ring School and was a 1949 graduate of the Rib Lake High School. She was married to Clarence Ostling on March 6, 1954, in Kennan, Wisconsin. She was employed by Montgomery Ward in Aroura, IL, Flambeau Valley Farms in Prentice, and then was employed by Blount Inc. of Prentice until the time of her retirement.
She is survived by one sister, Nancy Longseth, Prentice; by four grandchildren, and by great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, on February 13, 1997; and is also preceded in death by two step sons, William and John Ostling; by one brother, Carl Joel Sander; by two sisters, Helen Billstine and Clara Pohle; and by one grandson.
At Mary’s request, no funeral services will be held.
