Mary L Maloney

Mary “Pesh” Maloney (nee Krueger), 88, of Madison, WI, passed away after a courageous battle with lung cancer on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She received loving care from the adored team at Agrace Hospice and passed away with her family by her side. She was born and grew up in Tomahawk, WI.

She is survived by her sisters – Leah Riemer, Ottawa, Kansas & Marsha Wilke, Waukesha; Children – Jeffrey Meyer, of Madison, Laurie Meyer (James) Warn, of Cottage Grove, James (Susan) Meyer, of Madison, Peggy Meyer (Phillip) Rauch, of Orting, WA, Meriann Meyer (Alistair) Munn, of Fort Atkinson, Marjorie Taylor (Andrew Selk) Damgaard, of Fitchburg & Kristine Taylor (Gregory) Van Keuren, of O’Fallon, MO. She was the matriarch of a large family and is survived by 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Margaret (Marheine) Krueger; son – Michael Meyer; grandson – Jeffrey Showers; two great granddaughters – Cierra Killerlain & Alisha Dittbenner; brother - William Krueger; and sister Yvonne Freistedt.

Mary proudly worked for the City of Madison Police Department as a parking monitor for 32 years. She received many awards and recognition for her hard work and dedication to her job. In retirement, she enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Mary loved her children, enjoyed annual family picnics and watching her family grow through the years.

The Funeral Service for Mary “Pesh” Maloney will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. The visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Spirit Hillcrest Cemetery in Spirit, WI.
