Matilda "Tillie" Kirinovic, age 89, N10004 Mohawksin Road, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at Golden Living-Riverview in Tomahawk. Tillie was born on August 25, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of John and Matilda (Jacoby) Patrick. She was married to Charles E. Kirinovic, Sr. on November 18, 1944 also in Chicago; he passed away September 26, 2010. Tillie and Charles raised their 2 sons in Burbank, Illinois. She had various jobs throughout her life but she most treasured being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Chuck moved to Tomahawk in 1980 following their retirement, and enjoyed 10 years traveling the country. They were members of St. Mary Catholic Church. Tillie enjoyed making slippers and afghans for family and friends, and also donated them to her church and various charities. Tillie was most famous for her baking; making homemade streusel and kolacky for every holiday and special occasion. She treasured moments spent with her sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Tillie was the loving mother of: Charles (Terri) Kirinovic, Jr. Midlothian, Il Edward (Chris) Kirinovic Hazelhurst, WI Dearest grandmother, granny, and great grandmother to: Becky (Mike) Zienty, Tom (Karla) Kirinovic, Courtney (Steven) Timmons, John Kirinovic, Brittney, Ericka, Gracie, and TJ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, and 1 brother. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Edward F. Powell will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at St. Mary Catholic Church Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of Mass at 3:00 p.m.
