Maureen Higgins

Maureen A. Higgins, age 57, of Rhinelander, formerly of Dallas, Texas, died unexpectedly August 25, 2014 in Rhinelander. Loving daughter born July 1, 1957 to the late Jeremiah H. and Joan (nee McCarthy) Higgins. Loving sister to Patrick Higgins of Arlington Heights, Illinois and the late Jeremiah T. Higgins. Maureen dedicated her life's work to teaching. She taught at St. Bernard Catholic School in Dallas, Texas for 30 years. Most recently, she was a teacher at Nativity of Our Lord Parish School in Rhinelander. A Memorial Mass for Maureen Higgins will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish - St. Mary's site in Rhinelander. Fr. Tom Thakadipuram will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:30 AM until the hour of Mass at 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Star Lake Cemetery in Sayner.
