Mercedes Marquardt

Mercedes K. Marquardt, age 91, of Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born October 16, 2009 in Green Bay, WI to the late Frank and Katherine DeNamur. She was married to Ted Marquardt on Janury 9, 1937 in Tomahawk; he passed away in 1988. Mercedes grew up in the Harrison area. She and her husband owned and operated Marquardt's Bakery in Tomahawk. After selling the bakery in 1973, she drove school bus until retiring in 1989. Survivors include 2 Daughters, Joan McIntyre of Merced, CA, and Gail Marquardt of Tomahawk, 2 Sons, Dennis Marquardt, and Thomas Marquardt, both of Tomahawk, 2 Grandsons, Daniel McIntyre and Russell Lester, 2 Granddaughters, Sara McIntyre, and Jessica Marquardt, and 1 Great Granddaughter, Kaylynn Stichmann. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, 2 Sisters, 1 Brother, and 1 Daughter, Teddie. Private family services for Mercedes Marquardt will be held at a later date. Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.
