Michael H. Wolosz, age 88, passed away on Nov. 7, 2020 at the Veterans Home in King.
Michael was born Sept. 28, 1932, the son of Andrew and Mary Wolosz. He was the youngest of 10 children.
After graduating from Lakeland High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning home to Minocqua, he was united in marriage to Barbara Schwartz.
Mike had a great love and respect for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. He was a boy scout leader and also a volunteer fireman for 47 years, later becoming the fire inspector. His family meant the world to him and loved to tell his stories.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barb; daughter Valerie (Jay) McDonald of Ripon; son Todd (Eileen) Wolosz of Sarasota, Fla., four grandchildren Samantha, Michael, Tiffani, Nick; two great-grandchildren Hayden and Arianna, one sister Dorothy and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters, daughter Jill and Bill Jansen, whom he considered a brother.
Funeral Mass for Mike will be held on Saturday, October 16th at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by Committal and Military Honors to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
