MICHAEL GELINA
Michael James Gelina, 69, Glidden, Town of Gordon, died on Friday, December 11, 2015, in Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, on November 3, 1946, the son of Harry and Eunice Gelina. He was a graduate of the Lincoln High School of Park Falls. He served his country in the United States Army in Viet Nam during the Viet Nam War.. He was married to Rocelyn Dwan on April 29, 2006, in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Park Falls. He was employed as the manager of the Park Falls Kentucky Fried Chicken for 18 years and was also employed by Wheel Way in Fifield. He was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church of Park Falls, a 4th Degree member of the Father Weber Council 2639 of the Knights of Columbus, and of the Park Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6903. In his free time he enjoyed ham radio, watching funny car and drag racing, dancing, playing drums under the tutelage of Mark Cummins, and was very interested in family and friends and the details of their lives.
He is survived by his wife, Rocelyn; by three stepchildren, Aimee (John) Pacente, Glen Ellen, IL, David (Bridget) White, Chicago, IL, and Annelise White, Glidden; and by three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 19, at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Park Falls with Father Shaji Pazhukkathara celebrating the Funeral Mass. Honors will be conducted by the 4th Degree members of the Father Weber K of C Council 2639. Military honors will be conducted by the Park Falls American Legion Post No. 182. Interment will be in the Nola Cemetery in Park Falls. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of services.
