MICHAEL O'DONNELL
Michael Robert O'Donnell, 83, Park Falls, died in the Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He was born on September 14, 1934, in Crandon, Wisconsin, the son of Orlan and Verial (Harris)
O'Donnell. He was a 1953 graduate of the Park Falls High School. He
served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Beverly Thibedeau
in Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Park Falls on August 18, 1962. He
owned and operated O'Donnell's Shoe Store in Park Falls for 59 years. He
was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Park Falls and in
the last year of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Phillips. He
was a member of and had served as Grand Knight of the Park Falls Knights of
Columbus Council and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights. He served as
an alderman for the City of Park Falls, was an active member of the Christian Mission where he served as a Board Member, a member of the Park Falls Housing Authority, and a member of the Park Falls Chamber of
Commerce. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors, bowling, golf,
travel, the hunting season, and making firewood.
He is survived by Beverly, his wife of 55 years, by one son, Tim (Laura) of Bolingbrook, IL; by two grandchildren, Megan and Sean; by one brother, Pat (Laura), Texas, and one sister, Terry Halverson, Butternut; and by many
nieces and nephews. He is joined in heaven by brothers Dick and Jeff.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 21, at 1:00 P.M. at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Father Gerald Hagen officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until the
time of services. Interment will be at the Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
