Mildred M. Stettner, age 102, of W1959 Wagonmaker Lane, Tomahawk, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
Mildred was born on January 17, 1911 in Illinois to Fred and Jenny (Chrystal) Lake. She married Hugo Stettner who has preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in the Chicago area working as a secretary for an auto parts and repair shop. Mildred served as a mentor and foster parent for many years in Illinois. She was always concerned about and helping others. The past 22 years were spent living in the Harrison Hills area. She enjoyed entertaining in her home, traveling, and at the age of 102 had her own Facebook page.

Grandchildren, Jason (Michelle) Flanagan, Harrison, Sierra Stettner, Kingman, Arizona
She is further survived by a great grandson, Logan, and a special great niece, Tazia. She is also survived by those that helped care for her, Bonnie and Mirella Eternicka, Lori Nelson, and Judy and Tim Shephard. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Chrystal Flanagan.
In accordance with Mildred's wishes, her body was donated to the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison to help further the education of others.
