Mitchel “Mike” Hipler

Mitchel Charles Hipler passed away suddenly on December 29, 2024 at the age of 66. Mike, as

most knew him, was born on June 2, 1958 in Germany to Helga and Richard Hipler. Mike lived a

good portion of his life in Tomahawk, WI. He graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1976

and furthered his education at Northland College-Ashland and University of WI-Madison.

Mike went on to become a pharmacist for his entire career. He was an outdoorsman, loved

fishing the Jersey City Flowage and anywhere he lived, when he got the chance. Most recently

Mike lived in Waunakee WI with his son Joseph.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother and father, Helga and Richard, his paternal and

maternal grandparents, and his youngest brother Allen. Survivors include his son Joseph of

Waunakee, WI, his brother Don (Naomi), Tomahawk WI, his niece and nephew, Katie and Alex,

his aunt Ingrid and three cousins, Tom, Mark and Michelle, along with many friends in the

Northwoods area.

A visitation and memorial service will take place on January 10, 2025 beginning at 10 a.m. at

Krueger-Nimsgern Funeral Home in Tomahawk. A gathering will take place immediately

afterwards at Castaways Bar & Grill.
