Monica Corbett

Monica J. Corbett, age 94, 117 N. Second Street, Tomahawk, passed away July 25, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk. Monica was born September 13, 1914 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Joseph and Dora Violette. She married John Corbett on November 18, 1946 in Tomahawk; he passed away in 1998. In her early years, Monica worked as a beautician. Later, she was a bookkeeper for MT&W for over 20 years. She was a loving mother as well as a devoted caregiver to her husband, John, and enjoyed reading, bowling, and golfing. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: 2 daughters Mary Lee (Robert) Sander Monroe Kathleen (James) Freimuth Madison 2 grandchildren John (Kristin) Sander Arlington Heights, Illinois Cory Sander Dublin, Ohio 1 great granddaughter Ava A Mass of Christian Burial for Monica Corbett will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at noon. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
