Murel "Pete" Bushor, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away December 4, 2009 at Port Charlotte, Florida after a short illness.
Pete was born October 26, 1932 in Tomahawk, the son of Anslem and Eva (Schgdloski) Bushor. He graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1951 and served in the United States Air Force from 1951 - 1955. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in St. Paul, Minnesota as a mail carrier in 1988 and moved back to Tomahawk. He enjoyed hunting and spending time on his land. After his marriage to his wife Elsie, he moved to Port Charlotte, Florida and then to Dade City, Florida. Pete was a lifetime member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2687 - Tomahawk, a member of the American Legion Post #93 - Tomahawk, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4399 - Dade City, Florida.

Pete is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife - Helene, brother - Frank "Jerome", and 2 sisters - Arlotta Dane and Lorraine Smith.
A Memorial Service with Veteran Tribute for Pete Bushor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from Krueger Family Funeral Home. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday the 19th from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota.
