Muriel J. Kaphaem, age 79, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at Golden Living-Riverview Care Center in Tomahawk.
Muriel was born on June 11, 1928 in Ogema, Wisconsin to Charles and Mabel (Soderbeck) Bergeson. She was married to Frederick Kaphaem on June 12, 1948 in Tomahawk, Fritz passed away in 2002.
Muriel had been a Red Cross Volunteer and a member of the Grey Ladies for many years. She also had served as the United Methodist Church Secretary for many years. She and Fritz will long be remembered for riding the bicycle built for two in the Tomahawk 4th of July parades. Muriel loved to spend time with her family and spoiling them.

Two Sons, Michael (Rhonda) Kaphaem Tomahawk Wayne (Lynda) Kaphaem Tomahawk
She is further survived by 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Muriel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fritz, a sister, and a grandson.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the First Congregational Church of Christ in Tomahawk. Rev. John Miskimen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of services at 11.
