Myron "Mike" L. Ryden

Myron “Mike” Lyle Ryden, age 89 of Hazelhurst, WI died on Thursday, January 11th at Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI. Mike was born on December 26, 1928 in Rosholt, WI. Mike graduated from Minocqua High School on May 29, 1947 and married Patty Zeinert on November 11, 1950. He proudly served in the United States Army with the Military Police unit.
Mike worked for Kettner Sawmill for many years and owned and operated the Hazelhurst Garage. He was very dedicated servant to the town of Hazelhurst, serving as Town Constable, the Hazelhurst Improvement Club and Lions Club and was a longtime member of the Fire Department , serving as chief.
He loved golfing, hunting, trap shooting and baseball, but enjoyed spending time with his family the most.
He is survived by his Children: Michael “Mikey” Ryden of Harshaw, WI; Randy (Nina) Ryden of Hazelhurst, WI; Jerry (Deb) Ryden of Minocqua, WI and Trisha (Bill) Kurbis of Waukesha, WI and by his beloved Grandchildren; Chris Ryden, Kelly Ryden, Ashley (Mike) Kurtz, Tom (Emily Mae King) Ryden, Cody (Priscilla Tullberg) Ryden, Jerry “Jay” (Gail) Ryden II, Zack Ryden, Dana and Megan Kurbis and by Great Grandchildren: Autumn, Shawn, Emmit, Makenna, Leah, Landen, Jaxson, Julia, Barrett and Hugh and further survived by many Brother and Sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Patty on February 22, 1992 and by his Brother, Walter Ryden and 2 Sisters; Gloria Ryden and Doris Lindville.
Memorial Services for Mike were held on Sunday, January 14th at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel and inurnment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Hazelhurst, WI.
