Myron Schepp

Myron “Hunce” Schepp, age 91, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Rennes Health Center in Rhinelander under the care of Ministry Hospice.

Hunce was born on May 11, 1926 in Wausau, to Walter & Mabel (Seefeldt) Schepp, the oldest of 5 boys. At the age of 17, Myron enlisted with the US Navy. After the service, he was married to Dawn Wiren in Wausau. She preceded him in death in 1996. Myron worked for Omark Industries in Prentice, then after retiring in 1988, he was the caretaker at Greenwood Cemetery, in Tomahawk. Hunce loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors; especially at his home on Lake Nokomis. He also enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzles, and playing cards. He was a lifelong Cubs fan and cheered them on when they took the 2016 World Series.

Hunce will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, and his extended family at Camp Schepp. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers – Walter, Roger, Gerald and Eugene.

The Military Service for Myron “Hunce” Schepp will take place at 3:00PM on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 1:00PM until the time of service at 3:00PM. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau.

The family would like to extend their sincerest thank you to the staff at Rennes and Ministry Hospice for all of the loving care that they have given Myron.
