MYRTLE MAE JOHNSON
Myrtle M. Johnson, 74, Phillips, died on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home, Phillips. She was born on October 11, 1940, in Ogema, the daughter of Ole and Ruby (Anderson) Hoff. She attended Grade School in Ogema, then attended and graduated from Prentice High School, Class of 1958.
She was married to Edward D. Johnson on July 22, 1961, in Ogema. They celebrated over 53 years of marriage. Following their marriage they made there home in Milwaukee,
She was employed in the banking industry for her entire working career. She was employed at the First Wisconsin Bank in Milwaukee for over 23 years prior to her retirement in 2000. Following their retirement they made their home in Phillips.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Ogema. In her free time she enjoyed listening to the radio, traveling throughout the United States and word puzzles.
She is survived by her husband Edwards D. Johnson, Phillips, by 1 sister: Elaine Severson, Milwaukee, by 1 niece Kristy and by 1 nephew Randy and by other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by 1 sister Norma Boland and by 1 brother Junior Hoff.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at the First Lutheran Church, Ogema, with Pastor Robert Giese officiating. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Ogema.
Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at the church until the time of the service.
