Nancy J. Siroin, 79, of Lac du Flambeau passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2017 at her home in the care of her immediate loved ones.
She was born on January 27th, 1938 in Rib Lake, WI., to Joseph and Esther (Stelling) Frombach. She was united in marriage to Jerome Siroin on August 30th, 1958 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, where her parents were also wed. After battling his own health issues for many years, Jerome preceded her in death in 2008.
Nancy was an avid music lover, learning to play the piano at a young age, participating regularly in competitions. Her passion and talent for music led to becoming the organist of the Presbyterian Church of Lac du Flambeau in 1978, where she eventually became administrative assistant in 1999 and continued her service which cumulated to over 40 years. She greatly enjoyed her time at the church and her family is very grateful for the church as well.
Prior to working at the church, Nancy was the bookkeeper at Greer’s pier in Manitowish Waters where her husband Jerome was a boat mechanic.
Nancy will be remembered for her love of music, sewing, quilting, knitting and photography. Perhaps her most important role in life was being a mother and grandmother. She had a large extended family and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Her sense of humor and hospitality continued to the very end.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Jerome (Jy) Siroin and brother Robert Frombach.
Nancy is survived by her son Thomas Siroin and daughter-in-law Christine Siroin; granddaughters Shannon Siroin and Heather Carmona; sister Judy Loerstcher; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
