Nancy Nikkila, 71, of Ogema passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She was born on March 28, 1952, to Raymond and Myrtle (Pearson) Levenson in Milwaukee, WI.

She started her career at BlueCross BlueShield in Milwaukee, WI. She went up to Prentice, WI often to visit with family where she met her husband, Kenneth D. Nikkila. They were married in 1978 at First Lutheran Church in Ogema. She worked various jobs while raising their children. She retired from Little Black Mutual Insurance Company. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her flower garden, traveling, camping with her grandchildren, baking, spoiling her cat Fadro, and shopping were some of her favorite hobbies.  

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Diana), Kevin (Megan); grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, Nash, Kendra, Kole, and Tucker; brothers, Raymond K. Levenson, Michael (Cindy) Levenson, sister-in-law, Cindy (Tom) Graun; and niece and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; brother and sister in-law, Dennis, and Candy Nikkila; brother-in-law, Ricky; parents-in-law, Harold, and Bessie.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 284 Chestnut Street, Phillips, WI 54555. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until the start of service. Interment will take place at Levitt Creek Cemetery. Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home is assisting the family.
