Nell Anne Virgil, 87, Lake Mills passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 surrounded by family at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center, Johnson Creek, WI.
Nell was born on December 8, 1931 in Tomahawk, WI to Carl Frances and Nell (Winker) Theiler. She graduated from Tomahawk High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, WI. Nell married William Virgil on September 1, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tomahawk, WI. Nell and Bill raised five children in Palatine, IL until 1979 when they purchased the Tee-A-Way Golf and Supper Club in Ladysmith, WI. Nell enjoyed quilting, golfing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nell and Bill enjoyed attending mass at their local Catholic churches. Her favorite times were spent with her family at the cottage on Half Moon Lake in Tomahawk.
She is survived by her husband; Bill Virgil, Lake Mills, WI; children Charlie (Marcia) Virgil, Marshall, WI, Pegi (Ty) Hilgendorf, Hazelhurst, WI, Anne (Steve) Weaver, Long Beach, CA, Mike (Kim) Virgil, Indianapolis, IN, Tracey (Tom) Novak, Sullivan, WI; grandchildren Rachelle, Karen, Tara, Alex, Matthew, Katherine, Colleen, Peter, Kirstin, Ireland, Michael, Erin; great-grandchildren Ty, London, Bentley, Lincoln, Isla, Audie; brother Carl (Barb) Theiler, Tomahawk, WI; and too many cousins, nieces and nephews to name. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph “Bud” and Harry Theiler; sisters, Vi Schmit and Sister Katherine Theiler.
The Memorial Service for Nell Anne Virgil will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tomahawk. Fr. Louis Maram Reddy will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at 11:00AM. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
