Neoma Orcutt, passed away January 1, 2010 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk, where she was a resident since the end of July, 2009 and recently celebrated her 100th birthday at an open house hosted by George and Carol Cassell.
Neoma was born December 18, 1909 in Tomahawk, the daughter of Walter and Goldie (Larson) Ostrander. Neoma met her husband-to-be in kindergarten in Tomahawk. Neoma attended the Tomahawk public schools, graduating in 1928 in a class of 58 graduates. She attended a business college in Wausau for 2 years, and worked at Kruetzer Investment Company in Wausau until after her marriage. She married Ellsworth "Ole" Orcutt July 22, 1935 at the United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. They were married for over 63 years.
Neoma is remembered by many for her years working at the Tomahawk School District office as a bookkeeper. She also served as a Red Cross volunteer at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk for many years.
Neoma attended the United Methodist Church in Tomahawk her entire life. She was the organist there for over 50 years, retiring when her eyesight became poor from Age Related Macular Degeneration. She always remained mentally sharp and could tell many interesting stories of her years growing up in Tomahawk.

Neoma is further survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by an infant son in 1937, her parents - Goldie and Walter, and her husband - Ellsworth in 1998.
Funeral Services for Neoma Orcutt will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. Pastor Allen Christensen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of services at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in the spring at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
