Nicholas Szymanski

Nicholas Szymanski, age 21, of Tomahawk, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2021. Nick was born in Rhinelander on September 15, 1999 to Neal Szymanski & Jamie Jaecks. He was a 2018 graduate of Tomahawk High School where he played football & baseball. Nick loved fishing, sucker grabbing and duck hunting with his dog. He enjoyed sports and NASCAR. He was currently employed for Foley’s Tree Service. Nick is survived by his father- Neal (Tracy Rasmussen) Szymanski of Marathon City; his mother – Jamie (Tom) Thums of Medford; sister – ShaeLee (Casey Myre) Szymanski of Tomahawk; step-brothers – Blake (Christine) Thums & Brock (Aly) Thums both of Medford; maternal grandparents – Gary & Sheila Jaecks of Tomahawk. Nick is further survived by his step-grandparents – Russ & Barb Thums of Medford; God-Parents - his Aunt Lynn & Uncle Carl Favors of Tomahawk and Uncle Rod (Aunt Debby) Szymanski of Marathon; and his dog – Marge. Nick is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents – Edwin (Lydia) Szymanski and Florence Szymanski and his dog – Chloe. The Funeral Service for Nick Szymanski will take place at Noon on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Gass will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at 12:00PM. Burial will take place in Spirit Falls Cemetery.
