Norma M. Anderson, age 97, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at Golden Living Center - Golden Age in Tomahawk.
Norma was born August 31, 1913 in Tomahawk, the daughter of George and Daisy (Baker) Buschmann. She married Edward Anderson on November 28, 1934 in Tomahawk; he passed away in 1981. Norma worked at Nick & Sons Casket Factory for 30 years until the time of her retirement. Norma was a very active member of the Tomahawk Area Senior Center, the Friday Card Club, the Monday 500 Club, and a 50 year member of the Jolly 10 Club. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Catholic Women's Club. Norma volunteered for 8 years driving for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Norma loved to travel, and was proud to say she had visited every state in the Union, and also visited the country of Panama. Norma also loved the 4th of July, planning and hosting a large celebration each year. Some of Norma's hobbies include: playing bingo, knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, baking, and fishing. Norma used her knowledge of sewing to teach her family members how to sew.

Norma is further survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter - Karen, and 11 brothers and sisters.
A Memorial Mass for Norma Anderson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
