Orville Hanse, age 97, of Tomahawk, passed away peacefully at Tomahawk Health Services, formerly known as Golden Age Nursing Home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Service.
Orville was born on August 29, 1919 in Morris, Minnesota to William & Gertrude (Jacobson) Hanse. Orville was a proud veteran, having served in the US Army during WWII. He was united in marriage on August 29, 1945 to Dorothy Fieblekorn in Hoffman, MN. Together, Orville & Dorothy has lived in Waukesha, Elgin & Geneva, IL, Minnesota & Tomahawk. Orville was a jack of all trades; he and Dorothy had the Hanse Coffee Shop, he was a mink rancher, a logger and for most of his life, he was a general contractor. They loved spending winters in Arizona.
Orville is survived by his two children – LouAnn (Tony) Beiler & Paul Hanse, both of Tomahawk and his brother – Donald Hanse, of Minnesota. He is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
The Funeral with military rites for Orville Hanse will take place at 11:00AM on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Rev Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial will take place in the spring at Prairie Rapids Cemetery.
