Patricia Engen

Patricia Engen, age 87, 2068 Hazy Bay Road, Tomahawk, passed away November 22, 2013 at her residence. Pat was born October 11, 1926 in Winona, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Ida (Irvine) Flynn. She married Lloyd C. Engen on August 2, 1947 in Chippewa Falls; he passed away August 2, 1987. In her early years, she was employed as a beautician, and later with the Lake Country Reporter in Hartland for many years, retiring in 1985. Following her retirement, she and her husband moved to Tomahawk. She enjoyed gardening and genealogy. She served as past president of the Women's Club in Hartland, and was also a member of the Episcopal Women's Auxiliary, and T.O.P.S. in Tomahawk. She was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: son, Larry (Linda) Engen, Hazelhurst; daughter, Pam (Mike) Alessi, Hartland; brother, Jack (Lillian) Flynn, Austin, Minnesota. Pat is further survived by five grandchildren - Shannon, Daniel, Eric, Tim, and Heidi, and one great grandson - William. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and two brothers. Funeral Services for Pat Engen will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Father Edgar Wallace will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the hour of services at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow services at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
