Peter J. Haring, age 88, 428 N. 6th Street, Tomahawk, passed away August 30, 2007 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Peter was born February 9, 1919 in Harrison to Richard and Pauline (VanStrydonk) Haring. He was a life-long Harrison/Tomahawk resident, and was a well-known painter in the area. He was a U.S. Army veteran - serving in WWII, a member of the American Legion Bronsted Searl Post #93 and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Peter enjoyed playing cards, bowling, throwing horseshoes, playing billiards and golf, hunting, fishing, picking berries, and attending Army reunions.

Peter is further survived by 6 great grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Peter Haring will be held at Noon on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison. Fr. John Anderson and Michele Rein will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at Noon. Burial with Military Rites will follow Mass at St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison.
