Peter F Scheuermann

Reverend Peter Florian Scheuermann went home to his precious Savior on the 27th of August 2017 in Pulaski, Virginia at the age of 78. Pete is survived by his wife: Beverly (Myers); children: Peter Scheuermann (Stella), Bonna Lawrence (Randall), Rachel Wilson (Terry), Preston Scheuermann (Kristy), Barry Scheuermann (Sherry), Terry Scheuermann, Saralee Ellenbecker (Paul), Scott Scheuermann, Ben Scheuermann, BillieJo Scheuermann, and foster daughters: Carmen Zietlow and Bonita; siblings: Mary Larson (Earl), Sarah Hoock (Mike), Becky Hauer (Jim), and Adam Scheuermann. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren and counting (welcome Landon Troy). He is preceded in death by his parents: Adam and Florence Scheuermann; brother: Anthony Scheuermann;  his children: Rachel M Scheuermann and Richard Webster Scheuermann; and his foster sons: Matthew Theilman and Zachary Bahlow. He is survived by countless other foster children, neighbors, and friends whom Peter and Beverly loved, accepted into their home, and raised as if their own.  He was born on May 20, 1939 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Adam and Florence Scheuermann of Picket, Wisconsin. He graduated from Rippon High school in 1958. He married Beverly Meyers, his high school sweetheart, in Waupun, WI in July 1958. He built Beverly a home and lived in Picket, WI until 1969. They moved to Oshkosh, WI and lived there until 1976, while he worked at the American Excelsior and pastored the Pentecostal Church of God on Arthur Avenue. During this time, they took in dozens of teenage foster children. He then moved with his family to Parrish, WI, where he and Beverly opened their home, “The Flying Horseshoe Ranch” adult family home. For over forty years they cared for and raised over 100 adults and children with mental and physical disabilities, and they were very involved with Special Touch Ministry and the Chivers family in Waupaca, WI.  Pete’s pride and joy were his children and any child who he could love on and care for. His love was as deep and large as he was, and he has left behind a legacy even larger.  A visitation is planned for 9:30AM and a celebration of his life is to follow at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 2 at Krueger Family Funeral Home (101 North Second Street,Tomahawk, Wisconsin 54487). Pete’s son-in-law, Terry A. Wilson; son-in-law, Randall Kent Lawrence, and his grandson Randall Lawrence Jr. will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate in Pete’s amazingly big life. If you’d like to show your love and appreciation for Pete’s life, flowers can be sent to the funeral home or donations can be given to Special Touch Ministry at P.O.
