PHILIP KLAAR
Philip Clyde Klaar, 83, Phillips, died in the Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls on Saturday, August 1, 2015. He was born in Park Falls, Wisconsin, on June 2, 1932, the son of Clyde and Magdelina “Lena” Klaar. He attended the Pioneer School in the Town of Worcester. He operated a dairy farm in the Town of Worcester, and with his brother, Frank, worked as a woodsman and raised mink. As a young man he attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Phillips, and, later in life, attended Saint John Lutheran Church in Phillips. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, and was a Director of the Brantwood Milk Board. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping.
He is survived by four children, Tammy (William Wilke) Klaar, Janesville, WI, Philip Scott Klaar, Phillips, Mark (Tina) Klaar, Elcho, WI, and Donald Klaar, Phillips; by 11 grandchildren; and by nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; by one brother, Frank; and by two sisters, Mabel Beecham and Marie Whittaker.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 8, at the Heindl Funeral Home in Phillips with Deacon James Celba of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church officiating Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
