Phillip “Turk” Haring, Sr., 67, of W6904 State Highway 86, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2021 under the care of Compasses Hospice at Riverview Health Services.
Turk was born November 13, 1953 in Tomahawk to Alphonse and Louise (Bushar) Haring. He married Marie Turner on March 13, 2005 in Las Vegas. He had been employed by the Lincoln County Highway Department for 33 years and he also worked at Mr. Ed’s Excavating for a long time. Turk was a national horseshoe champion for GWRRA, he had been a Ryder Educator for both the P and Q Chapters of GWRRA. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, and throwing horseshoes.
Turk is survived by his wife, Marie. Children, Amanda (Ray Webie) Haring, Phillip Haring, Jr., and Ben (Ashley) Haring, all of Tomahawk. Two Step children, Krystal (Ryan) Szarkowitz of Tomahawk and Kermit (Heather Baker) Kundo. Also surviving are his siblings, Donna Kallerud, Tomahawk; Alphonse (Krystal) Haring, MN; and Lauri (Jim) Johnson, Rhinelander. Turk is further survived by 9 grandchildren (Kaelley, Madison, Taylor, Brantley, Sadie Kundo, Madison Kundo, Preston Kundo, Grayson Kundo, and Brooklyn Kundo). He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Crystal; sister, Shirley Pierce; and a brother, Bruce Haring.
Funeral Services for Turk Haring will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, 1:00 p.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Plainfield Cemetery on Monday afternoon.
