Ralph "Okie" Krueger, age 81, of 1720 Jersey Lane, Tomahawk, died Thursday evening at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born April 7, 1926 in Tomahawk to the late Fred and Amanda Krueger and was married to the former Shirley Seslar on June 21, 1947 in Tomahawk.
Okie formerly owned and operated the Krueger Shoe Store and later the House of Flowers here in Tomahawk. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, pool, card playing, and carpentry. He was a veteran of World War 2 having served in the Air Force and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he was a former board member. Okie was also a former Tomahawk Jaycee and Lions Club member.
Survivors include: His Wife, Shirley 2 sons, Greg (Chris) Krueger Santa Barbara, CA Todd Krueger Cedar City, Utah 2 daughters, Linda (Charles) Dobbs Tomahawk Debra Johnson Cedar City, Utah 2 Sisters, Norma Schultz Stevens Point Bev (Clarence) Kuntz Tomahawk
He is further survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson
Funeral services for Ralph "Okie" Krueger will be held at 1:00 Monday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate with interment to follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10:00 until the hour of services at 1:00. Military Rites will be conducted at the gravesite.
