Randall V. Johnson, age 64 was called home to the Lord, on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Randy was born on March 26, 1951 in Rhinelander to Melvin & Donna (Smith) Johnson. On July 21, 1995 he married the love of his life, Pamela Bohl. Randy was a hardworking man who in earlier years did logging and construction work with his father. Randy retired from the City of Rhinelander where he was employed for 29 years as the fleet manager and head mechanic. Randy was a loving and dedicated family man who cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed wood carving, camping and traveling. Randy could always be found helping family, friends and neighbors. His grandson Brady, said "Grandpa could take garbage and turn it into anything". Randy was a member of Rhinelander First United Methodist Church. Randy is survived by: Wife, Pam Johnson, daughters, Tracy (Brack)Congleton, Stephanie (Joel) Laumann, all of Rhinelander. Siblings, Donald Johnson of Aniwa, Susan Johnson of Rhinelander, Darlene Ison of Michigan, Mathew Johnson, Keith Johnson and Kyle Johnson from Rhinelander. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra (Ken) McCall, South Elgin, ILL, Brenda (Peter) Meinen and Sally Rocque from Chippewa Falls. Randy is further survived by grandchildren, Brady & Brecklyn Congleton, and Sophia Laumann. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jeffrey & Douglas, sisters Jeanne & Jennie. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm at the Rhinelander First United Methodist Church on Friday, July 31, 2015. Rev. Ellen Rasmussen will officiate. Visitation will take place on Friday, from 10:00 am until the time of service. Church is located on 724 Arbutus Street (Handicap accessible entrance on corner of Prospect and Wabash).
