Raphael 'Ralph' Leintz, age 76, W1881 US Hwy. 8, Brantwood, passed away November 20, 2010 at his residence under home hospice care.
Ralph was born March 14, 1934 on a farm in rural North Dakota, the eldest of seven children born to Edmund and Cecelia (Hauck) Leintz. He lived and worked on the farm until he moved to Montana to work in the oil industry. He later moved to Milwaukee, where he attended night school and became a welder, working at various manufacturing companies. He married Cathleen 'Casey' Graves on January 28, 1956. Together they had 11 children. Eventually, they moved to a farm in Brantwood. Ralph was a skillful harmonica player, and enjoyed playing polkas and waltzes. His favorite songs to play were "Red Wing", "Under the Double Eagle" and "Home Sweet Home". He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. Ralph was happiest working on the farm, tinkering with his tractors, and having his family gathered around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter - Kelly Dupont, sister - Mary Ann Kjos, and sister-in-law - Sharon Leintz.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Ralph Leintz will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 12:30 p.m.
