Raymond J. Hanoski, 90, Phillips died on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Flambeau Hospital, Park Falls.
He was born on February 9,1926, in Kennan the son of Anton and Francis (Pospeck). He spent his entire life in Price County. He attended and graduated from Phillips High School, with the Class of 1944. He was married to Patricia Zolnierczyk on October 16. 1954 in Kennan. They celebrated over 61 years together.
Following his graduation from high school he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1944 – 1945, in Germany. After returning from military service he and his wife Patricia owned and operated the family farm until the time of his retirement. After his retirement they made their home in Phillips in 2005.
He was a former member of the Nielsen-Winter VFW Post in Kennan.
In his free time he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and playing cribbage.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, Phillips, by his 3 children: Raymond A., Hanoski Phillips, Steven (Deoksoon) Hanoski, Apple Valley, Minn., and Jenni Hanoski, Minocqua, by 4 granddaughters: Amy, Rebecca, Jill, and Leah, and 1 great granddaughter Hanna Rae.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
