Raymond Johnson, age 79, W8650 Wauwatosa Ave., Tomahawk, passed away August 12, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Ray was born January 24, 1930, the son of Andrew and Eleanore (Ringquist) Johnson. He married Elaine Daenicke on May 6, 1950 in Abbotsford. Ray was a Cheesemaker for 15 years, and later retired after 30 years as a Supervisor in the yard at Owens-Illinois in Tomahawk. Ray raised 6 miniature horses, enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an avid Packers fan. He was a member of Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, and belonged to the Evangelism Group. Ray was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran.

Ray is further survived by 1 great grandchild - Bryce. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service with Military Tribute for Ray Johnson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Gass will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the Service at 11:00 a.m.
