Rhonda L. Potts, age 65 of Lac du Flambeau, WI died on Friday, March 6th at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Rhonda was born on August 4, 1949 in Hayward, WI the daughter of Wilber “Benase” and Lorraine (nee Diver) Buckholtz Mitchell.
She is survived by her 2 Sons: Edward J. (Connie) Mitchell of Alabama and Albany Potts III of Lac du Flambeau, WI and by 3 Daughters: Lisa Ann Potts of Lac du Flambeau, WI; Jenette Ann Potts and partner Anne of Lac du Flambeau, WI and Sarah J. (Donald) Holcombe of Alaska and by Grandchildren: Darren (Tiffany) Whitney, Dereck Mitchell, Dustin and Devin Mitchell, Brianne Holcombe and Shalayna Saglin Potts. Further survived by 8 Sisters: Doris J. (Myron) Pyawasit, Rose A. (Walter) Mitchell, Mary R. (George) Mitchell, Patricia A. (Brian) Mitchell, Diane K. Mitchell, Terry L. Mitchell, Sarah (Herb) Medina and Ardie (Mike) Medina and by 4 Brothers: Melvin (Katie) Buckholtz, Joseph F. Mitchell, William D. Mitchell and Frank C. (Theresa) Mitchell and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by Brother, Wilbur F. Mitchell Jr. and Sister, Charlane F. Mitchell.
Traditional Native American Services will be held at the Multi-Purpose Building in Lac du Flambeau, WI on Sunday, March 8th starting around 3:00 PM and continue till Monday, March 9th with burial at Memorial Cemetery.
